European Championships 4th place

I was looking forward to this competition a lot. Then I was ill and couldn't climb for one week, 2 weeks in prior before competition. My motivation was low, but I quickly got back, and it might have been the best shape I had for a comp this season. I felt really good on the wall in both qualification and semifinals, especially putting up an epic fight on an extremely difficult semifinal route, being 2nd just behind super strong Alberto Gines Lopez. The final route was different. I felt slightly tired, I didn't climb well, and a few mistakes cost me a medal. Still, it was a comp that makes me motivated for next year.

Congrats to Alberto for the European title, and especially my training partner and absolute hero Gio Placci for taking the silver, while Sam Avezou took the bronze.

The whole Czech team was very successful. 3 male semifinalists, 3 female semifinalists, and 2 finalists in the female category - 6th place Michaela Smetanová and 4th place Tereza Širůčková.

Check out the overall results.

Thank you for the support - my coach Petr Klofáč and physio Markéta Neveliková for preparation, the Panellino team for training vibes and especially my family and my wife, Iva Ondra, for being able to keep playing this fun game a little longer.

That's it for this comp season! See you during the Rock Master and next year!
