It's still a pleasure to be there!

Coming back home from the World Championships with 15th place in the lead, which leaves me mixed feelings for sure. In terms of the result, it is disappointing. Another disappointment was that I was not really able to use my current shape in these competition routes. I thought of this competition and season as something that might show if I still have it and if it is worth putting all that energy into competitions, or if I should just climb on the rock. However, I still feel I haven't really got the answer yet because I failed to deliver in every single route.

On the positive side, I still get goosebumps while starting a route on the big stage in front of the crowd, which is still in me, and I think it is something I would love to experience more. And the vibe in the isolation zone hasn't changed = it's still a pleasure to be there.

It was a huge event with some exceptional performances that I was in awe of watching. It is cool to see the progress of the sport and how it is evolving. I hope I can still be a small part of it in the future.

Nevertheless, every big competition is not only about the event itself, but it is also about the training and preparation. This time, it was especially enjoyable to share most of the training sessions with Jakub Konečný. Thank you for many training sessions, Petr Klofáč, and for proper physio, Markéta Nevělíková and Gabriela Vráblíková. Many different routesetters, and lastly, my family and my sweetest wife, Iva.
