Three years ago, we opened a second Hangar Ostrava in Czechia together with Magnus, Pete, Will and loads of you! It was a bloody brilliant evening. You can watch the video on my YouTube channel.
On December 12, the 4th edition of Hang Up takes place at Hangar Ostrava-Poruba, and I'll be there. It's one of my favourite comps of the year, because it's not just for pros. Anyone can jump into the qualifiers and try the same boulders as pro climbers, the atmosphere during qualis is pretty chill. Same wall, same problems, just a bit more chalk in the air.
Boulders will be set by World Cup setters Martin Chytil, Vojtěch Trojan, František Danda and Livia Stahl from Sweden. I'm curious myself what they'll cook up. There will be plenty of partners with their programme if anyone wants to take a break from climbing.
After qualifications, the final will be on stage, World Cup format, spotlights on, livestream on, DJs showing up. I'm really curious who's going to make it there.
I'll be there in person (+ we have some surprises upcoming), and so is Jana Švecová. Lukáš Mokroluský, Ema Galeová and more of the Czech national team are joining too. And the list will go on!
Can't make it to Ostrava? Worry not, we're planning to stream the final live on YouTube on Hangar channel.
Spots are limited, so grab yours here.
See you on the wall!
