Last November, I travelled to Slovenia to Osp (Mišja peč), where I spent a lot of time when I was a kid and where I climbed some of my first hard routes. I really like this crag. Unfortunately, I ran out of all hard routes quite quickly. Fortunately, after quite a few years of no visits to this crag, there are a few new routes in this massive cave just above the village of Osp. And Water World 9a, put up by Klemen Bečan, is an absolute king line!
I was saving this route for an onsight try for quite some time, and after sending Zveřinec 9b+ at my home crag, I felt in really good shape, and it was time to give it a try! 9a's that are good for onsight are quite rare, so I wanted to make sure that everything was perfect to it one perfect try. Dealing with the pressure is actually quite similar to competitions, and this time I walked away with one of my proudest onsight ascents in the bag! Check out the video on my Youtube channel!
