Commented Climb Thulium 8c by Adam Ondra

Even though Czechia is famous for sandstone climbing, most traditional sandstone climbing is located in the northwest. In the eastern part of the country, in the Moravia region, we have very little sandstone. But in the small mountains of Chřiby, there is an iconic sandstone free-standing tower called Kozel, and this tower is definitely a gem.

For many years there has been this last unsolved problem in Kozel. Perfectly sculpted rounded arete that looked impossible to be climbed. Recently I decided to check it out. I found out there is nothing but really bad slopers, but after a bit of a fight, I could make the first ascent of Thulium 8c.
